From: Peter Date: Wed Sep 1, 2004 1:25:58 AM US/Central To: lcc_news@thelcc.net Subject: so, what i was sayin' was this... it's only been a little over a year since my last shows and i've gotta say that i think the momentum is really on my side now. doncha you think? oh fuck, what can i say? i don't exist just to depress you ya know. i been busy! did a little touring with the New Year, lotsa workin to pay the bills, a little traveling... oh, and i got TIVO. uh, TIVO is kinda where it all broke down i s'pose. how you're supposed to keep up with an ever increasing barrage of "reality tv" and still find time to work on music is something i haven't quite gotten a handle on. i mean, if i'm not there to gently mock the participants with my haughty air of superiority then who will be? "WHO" i say?! but all that's changin now! i jammed a screwdriver in that bastard machine and i'm ready to get back to business. after a year of writing and demoing songs i'm getting ready to go into the studio to record a new album (more later)... BUT FIRST i'm gonna do a few shows to warm up for the studio. starting this SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 5TH at the BARLEY HOUSE (and continuing the following two sundays) you can come stand in reverential silence (but not too close, i'm ticklish) while i sing songs that are neither loud enough nor upbeat enough for my 71 year old mother. if i thought any of you actually had jobs i'd remind you that you're probably off next monday for labor day so you can sleep late the day after the show. anyways, if you start lowering your expectations now you should be just about ready by show-time on sunday. i've got plenty more to tell you but i'm going to dole it out sparingly after you've proved yourselves worthy. i miss you, peter p.s. if you've outgrown me since we last spoke just follow the directions below to stop getting emails from me. p.p.s. ignore the LCC business in the subject line. that's just a left over from the old mailing list until i get some new web stuffs sorted.
