From: Peter Schmidt Date: Thu Jul 3, 2003 12:09:41 AM US/Central To: lcc_news@thelcc.net Subject: here comes da chicken bomb! uhh, week three of the my shows with pianist rich martin continues this Sunday at the Barley House. thanks to everyone who has shown up so far. your appetite for false starts and unfulfilled promises is seemingly insatiable. everyone that has attended so far has been justifiably impressed with rich martin's talents on the keyboards. he's really done a great job pumping some life into my tired old songs. i could never pull off a billy joel cover without him. i gotta unload some of these LCC t-shirts so i'll be bringing them to the show and i'll offering deep, deep discounts. and free stickers. buttons. stuff. cheap. also...george neal from little grizzly did a great job opening up the show! you can never have enough songs about kids getting murdered and stuff. hopefully george and i will do some more shows together in the future. this Sunday there will be two openers. richard at the barley house forgot that he booked some band from canada next sunday before he gave the date to me. i don't know their name. here's the lineup: first up: canadian band (probably some kind of ya'll-ternative band) second up: shibboleth (rich martin's instrumental band featuring james and don from Chomsky and a magical rhythm device) last: rich martin helps a sad old man live out his broadway dreams (that would be my set) once more, this time with feeling: Sunday Night Barley House 2916 N.
